Now don't laugh you skeptics! I know how you must feel about rock stars putting their name on a hot sauce just to make a few bucks. I was skeptical, too. It never occurred to me this would ever work out.
Being from New Orleans, I grew up on Crystal and Tabasco. These were the only sauces that were around back then and they were the standard sauces on everyone's table and in every kitchen. It wasn't until New Orleans' own Figueroa Bros started importing Melinda's that I realized that there were actually other sauces out there and from that moment, my personal quest for the best began.
Among my circle of friends, I was known as the hot sauce nut and became the designated 'authority' (rightly or wrongly) on hot sauces among my homies, Trouble was, everyone would ask me the same big question, "Dude, what is the best sauce?"
Now, how does one answer that question? Is there really one sauce that can be called the "best"? As aficionados, you all know that this is a very difficult question because the answer really depend on what we're using that sauce for, right? We have favorite sauces for cooking, favorite table sauces, favorite sauces for salads, for meat, for beans, fish, and on and on.
Today, ladies and gentlemen, I am here to tell you that I have discovered what I believe is the "Best Hot Sauce" for hamburgers and grilled chicken sandwiches. That sauce is Joe Perry's 'Boneyard Brew'. Now, stop shaking your heads no and laughing at me.
Trust me, Joe Perry has hit the cover off the ball with this one. It is, in my humble opinion, the best tasting, most perfect sauce for Hamburgers and grilled chicken sandwiches that I have ever tasted. Period! Now, here is the tricky part, once you go outside the narrow purpose for which I think this sauce should be used, the quality drops off precipitously. On anything else, Boneyard Brew is just OK, but, for grilled chicken sandwiches and hamburgers, this stuff is amazing!
For grilled chicken sandwiches and hamburgers, Joe Perry's 'Boneyard Brew' is the standard by which all other sauces should be judged. I highly recommend this sauce.
