Has anyone ever used Hot Shots as a wholesale/dropshipper. I have tried to contact them via there contact form on the website twice and have never got a response. It's made me leery of using them. I am more interested in the dropshipping currently as I don't have the money or space to go the wholesale route.
Blu, they are going through a transition right now, so I am not sure who is in charge. Dave Lutz was the owner and he passed away a few months back from a hard fight with cancer. Then a couple months later his right hand man, Mike Cates passed away unexpectantly. Mike was a fixture to many of us at some of the big trade shows. I am not sure they were looking to expand on their product base beforehand, but the new people in charge might be more open to it.
I never heard of the term, "dropshipping" outside of the post office meaning. You mean co-packer? There might be some people recommend. I have heard people say good things about Bodine's in Florida, but not sure where else to guide you too.
Also, just to let you know about your favorite hot sauce, King Jolokia. Pepper Palace wins a lot of awards, but from what a little reliable birdy tells me, they do not make any products. They just buy and label other companies products as their own. Which is great for those companies that want to enter their products, but do not have the cash to do so. Pepper Palace is an awesome store, and even if they pass off someone else's products as their own, you will have a fun time tasting everything they have on display. Both the company that makes and sells the product to them, and Pepper Palace make out in the deal, so everyone is happy in the end.
Blu,
I have done business with Hot Shots for years, I reccomend them highly. They have been fair, honest and accomadating in all dealings with me. I have not heard any stories personaly to the contrary. They do have a drop ship program, I am sure they will be happy to explain it to you. I know they have a new Email address, try carrie@hotsotshotsauce.com,
