I found the bacon salt, but no baconnaise at the store that is supposed to carry it. I didn't bother buying the salt though since I don't add much salt to food. I once saw a bacon ranch dressing that was kosher which also means that there is no bacon in it. No pig in the Kosher world, but why bother making it so it is Kosher? Why would you target an audience that sees the word, "bacon" as a taboo?
No idea - my guess has to do with product placement. They're trying to get it into the specialty markets that cater to the higher end customers that are willing to spend $5 more on a product that they've never tried?
